I have been playing Rock Band for about a year now.  I started off with Rock Band 2 and had a blast.  Rockin’ out to some all time favorites and pretending you are good at singing…how can it get any better.  Well, take that fun and add in some Beatles and you get it.

The moment I heard it(The Beatles Rock Band) was coming out I was excited.  A few reasons, I like The Beatles (who doesn’t) and the songs are a bit more family friendly and party friendly.  It is hard to rock out with the kids with Judas Priest.

My first impression of the game was WOW.  They got it right.  I am not a ‘fanatic’ of the group, I have not followed them every step of the way, but you can tell they just got it correct.  From colors, to pictures, to transitions, everything was perfect.  The intro sequence to the game was something you would see on VH1.  Totally awesome.

The game play is the same as Rock Band so I wont go into that, except Story mode gives you a little more purpose in playing the game.  Following in the footsteps of The Beattles from Liverpool to Shea Stadium to beyond.  That is pretty neat.  Photos and clips mixed in make it over all an awesome experience.

I am extremely happy and pleased and can’t wait until tonight to play again.

Until The Beatles Rock Band.  I preordered it back in June or May (whenever they announced that you can).  I am a huge Rock Band fan.  I am not an ‘expert’ yet but I just enjoy rocking out to some awesome songs.  The other cool thing is I have my kids addicted too.  My oldest rocks on the guitar and my other two jam on the drums or mic.  It is totally a family fun game (albeit..some of the songs I have to skip or don’t want them doing).

This Beatles Rock Band will take it another level.  Then there is Lego Rock band and Band Hero..add Modern Warfare 2 and I will be going broke this fall.
